Arsenbrackebuschite

Arsenbrackebuschite is an IMA-recognized mineral species in the arsenate class, with the chemical formula Pb₂(Fe³⁺,Zn)(AsO₄)₂(OH,H₂O).

It crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system (space group P2_1/m). It is a member of the Brackebuschite structural group.

Key properties: Mohs hardness 4–5; specific gravity 6.54; Pale brownish streak; Resinous to adamantine luster; optically biaxial.

IMA symbol Abbs, IMA status: approved, named in 1977.

Found in fissures in dolomite breccia in the oxidized zone of a dolostone-hosted hydrothermal polymetallic ore deposit (Tsumeb, Namibia); in a hydrothermal polymetallic barite–fluorite deposit (Clara mine, Germany).

It is found associated with Beudantite, anglesite, mimetite, bayldonite, stolzite (Clara mine, Germany).

As the arsenate analog of brackebuschite.
