Ferroceladonite specimen

The specimen is roughly 4 x 5 x 3 cm. Found Sept 1996. MOB coll. Ferroceladonite (the green stuff) is not really common at MSH (Poudrette quarry, Mont Saint-Hilaire, La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada). But when found it covers everything! Here it is covering smoky quartz xls (to about 1 cm) and microcline. The broken smoky quartz xls along the edges look almost black. — Photo: Modris Baum · CC0
