Intro adapted from Wikipedia (CC BY-SA).

Zinclipscombite is an IMA-recognized mineral species in the phosphate class, with the chemical formula ZnFe³⁺₂(PO₄)₂(OH)₂.

It crystallizes in the tetragonal crystal system.

Key properties: Mohs hardness 5; specific gravity 3.65; Light green to beige streak; Vitreous luster; optically uniaxial.

IMA symbol Zlcb, IMA status: approved, named in 2006.

Secondary in the oxidation zone of a hydrothermal vein-type silver and base metal sulfide deposit.

It is found associated with Apophyllite, quartz, baryte, jarosite, plumbojarosite, turquoise, calcite.

The prefix identifies the zinc-dominant analogue of lipscombite.
