Arsenotučekite
Arsenotučekite is an IMA-recognized mineral species in the sulfosalt class, with the chemical formula Ni₁₈Sb₃AsS₁₆.
It crystallizes in the tetragonal crystal system (space group I4/mmm). It is a member of the hauchecornite structural group.
Key properties: specific gravity 6.477; Metallic luster.
IMA symbol Atuč, IMA status: approved, named in 2020.
Found in ophiolite. Likely precipitated during late hydrothermal stages by reaction of Sb- and As-bearing solutions with magmatic sulfides or during the serpentinization of the host peridotite.
It is found associated with Pentlandite, breithauptite, gersdorffite, chlorite.
The prefix indicates the As-dominant analogue of tučekite.
