Clino-oscarkempffite
Clino-oscarkempffite is an IMA-recognized mineral species in the sulfosalt class, with the chemical formula Ag₁₅Pb₆Sb₂₁Bi₁₈S₇₂.
It crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system (space group P2_1/c). It is a member of the Lillianite structural group.
Key properties: Mohs hardness 3–3.5; specific gravity 6.04; Dark gray streak; Metallic luster.
IMA symbol Cokp, IMA status: approved, named in 2012.
Found in a hydrothermal Ag-Sn vein deposit.
It is found associated with Aramayoite, oscarkempffite, arsenopyrite, ferrokësterite, freibergite, miargyrite, pyrite, quartz.
The prefix clino emphasizes the monoclinic symmetry and the base name the structural and chemical similarity to orthorhombic oscarkempffite.
