Drugmanite
Drugmanite is an IMA-recognized mineral species in the phosphate class, with the chemical formula Pb₂Fe³⁺(PO₄)(PO₃OH)(OH)₂.
It crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system (space group P2_1/a).
Key properties: Mohs hardness 6; specific gravity 4.1; White streak; Adamantine luster; optically biaxial.
IMA symbol Dru, IMA status: approved, named in 1978.
Very rare, formed at low temperatures in vugs in mineralized limestones, an oxidation product of disseminated sulfides.
It is found associated with Anglesite, corkite, pyromorphite, phosphosiderite.
The mineral was named to honor Dr. Julien Drugman (1875–1950), Belgian mineralogist.
