Manganokukisvumite

Manganokukisvumite is an IMA-recognized mineral species in the silicate class, with the chemical formula Na₆MnTi₄Si₈O₂₈·4H₂O.

It crystallizes in the orthorhombic crystal system (space group Pccn).

Key properties: Mohs hardness 5.5–6; specific gravity 2.86; White streak; Vitreous luster; optically biaxial.

IMA symbol Mkki, IMA status: approved, named in 2002.

A late mineral formed by hydrothermal dissolution of titanium-bearing minerals in an albite-rich syenite breccia in an intrusive alkaline complex.

It is found associated with Aegirine, microcline, albite, annite, pyrite, pyrrhotite, natrolite, calcite (Canada); kukisvumite (Russia).

As the manganese-dominant analogue of kukisvumite.
